The House of Competence (HoC) is the central academic institution for key competencies at KIT.
It offers, among other things, courses related to health. These courses can be credited as part of the “Certificate in Health Literacy” program.

Taking the Lead. Mindfully Shaping Change

The project "Taking the Lead. Mindfully Shaping Change" by the House of Competence aims to develop innovative offerings to promote leadership and health competencies for students. The goal is to establish a new understanding of health-promoting leadership, one that incorporates the significant changes in the economy, politics, and the environment, takes the needs of individuals seriously, and creates alternative success measures for a healthy collaboration. Overall, the project focuses on actively shaping the transition from university to professional life and promoting students' sense of self-efficacy.

Time2Grow

The transition from school to university involves a high degree of reorientation.
This can present obstacles and challenges that may lead to a decline in motivation. The Learning Lab of the House of Competence aims to support you through the project “Time2grow” in addressing the individual challenges of university life with a positive attitude, using them as opportunities for your personal development.

FORUM – Studium Generale. Forum for Science and Society offers more than 100 courses each semester, enabling students to integrate social and cultural topics into their academic studies. In addition, individual skills such as creativity, communication, and practical competencies can be strengthened through key qualification programs offered at FORUM.
