For the Karlsruhe athlete, taekwondo has been an integral part of his life for more than two decades. He began practicing the sport as a child and has held a 1st dan since 2010. Throughout his competitive career to date, he has won multiple titles at the Baden and Baden-Württemberg levels and has also gained competition experience at the national and international levels, including at tournaments in Germany and France.

Today, Skandrani trains at TTM Mittelbaden and will represent the Karlsruhe University of Education for the first time at a European Universities Championship in Taekwondo this September. In Tirana, he’ll compete against students and Taekwondo athletes from various universities across Europe.

After many years in taekwondo, competing in a European university championship is a special athletic highlight. His target for Tirana is clear: to achieve the best possible finish and compete for a medal.
