DHM Trampoline Gymnastics 2012 in Karlsruhe

On February 4, the German University Championships in trampoline gymnastics will be held in Karlsruhe. Here, amateur athletes from university sports will compete with club gymnasts and squad athletes.
At the championships, which are being held in Karlsruhe for the fourth time, there will be a mixed synchronized competition for the first time in addition to the men's and women's individual and synchronized competitions and the team competition. In this competition pairs consisting of one female and one male gymnast will compete against each other.
Also thanks to this introduction, a new record number of entries in the synchronized competitions could be set with a total of 46 synchronized pairs.
Among others, the reigning German university champions Janntje Barkemeyer from DSHS Cologne (women's single) and Alexandra Kohler from the University of Mainz, who together with Janntje Barkemeyer won the women's synchronized title last year in Braunschweig, will compete.

In the men's event, Sebastian Werner from the University of Erfurt (single) and Holger Nieder and Manuel Schweigert (both from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) will be looking to defend their titles in the synchronized event.
All in all, we can be pleased about a large number of entries, which is about the same as last year.
The competition will start at 10 a.m. with the men's and women's individual competitions. The finals, each consisting of 15 singles and 8 synchronized pairs, are scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm.
