  • The German University Championships (DHM) in beach volleyball were held in Kiel from June 2 to 4, 2025. Among the numerous teams from all over the country, Karlsruhe University Sports was represented by four ambitious teams - one women's team and three men's teams competed.

Strong performances by the men's and women's teams from Karlsruhe

Liv Dahmen and Anna-Lena Dosenbach put in a commanding performance in the strong women's field. The duo put in a strong and combative performance and finished in a good 9th place. They kept up with numerous top teams and showed impressively that they are also a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.

Dorian Lehmann and Jannick Lehmann started in the men's main draw. The well-rehearsed pair of brothers faced strong competition there and played several close matches. In the end, they finished in 17th place and gained valuable tournament experience at top national level.

The two other men's teams from Karlsruhe first had to fight for just 8 places in the main draw on Monday in the qualifying round with 32 teams - a tough competition that left little room for error. Jan Bone and Jasper Moritz narrowly missed out on a place in the main draw and were beaten despite a strong performance.

For Denir Hadzic and Emil Steinriede, the qualification was more successful: they secured one of the coveted places in the main draw with impressive matches. There they improved from game to game, showed strong nerves and fighting spirit and were finally able to fight their way up to an excellent 7th place - a strong result that rounded off the successful performance of Karlsruhe University Sports.
