On May 31, WG Karlsruhe, WG Freiburg, WG Heidelberg and WG Konstanz met in Karlsruhe. The aim was to qualify for the German Championships. WG Karlsruhe and WG Freiburg kicked off the match, with our team pulling away early and winning the game by a clear 33:14. The second game was then contested by WG Heidelberg and the team from Constance, who had traveled with nine second division professionals. As expected, the team from Constance prevailed 33:21 and it was clear that the next game would be decisive.

However, our coach Tim Stoll was to regret the sentence: "The team from Constance doesn't like to run that much," because the visitors showed their skills in the first half and forced us to call a time-out after just 10 minutes and by half-time the score was already 15:25, but at least the second half was won and in the end the game was lost 29:36.

There were no more surprises in the other games, Heidelberg won against Freiburg 31:24, Konstanz against Freiburg 37:10 and in the last game Karlsruhe won against Heidelberg 37:25.

Our Karlsruhe team therefore finished the qualifying round in second place. We wish the team from Constance every success in the final round.
