At the 4th adh-Hochschullauf, the own kilometer record from last year was pulverized again. With 850.38 km and 93 participants (previous year: 540.29 km | 55 participants), KIT Hochschulsport managed to significantly improve its performance and take 2nd place in the 'Universities by kilometer' ranking .

The Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Public Management and Security was unassailably ahead with 7,360.85 km and 835 finishers. TU Dortmund University completed the podium with 723.50 km and 82 participants.

Thanks to the support of numerous student running enthusiasts from Karlsruhe, including the HSP groups Lauftreff, General Athletics, Competition and Functional Training, as well as Orienteering, many runners were able to achieve a great ranking. The university sports office team also covered a few kilometers.

A total of 1,651 participants took part in the adh-Hochschullauf 2023, celebrating the International Day of University Sport (IDUS) with the run.
