From May 29 to 31, 2026, the German Collegiate Swimming Championships took place at the Stadionbad in Hanover. The swimming team from the Karlsruhe University Sports Association competed with a large and strong delegation and successfully held its own against a high-caliber field of approximately 80 colleges.

Leonard Grün and Adrian Trumpa made a particularly strong impression, qualifying for the coveted finals with strong performances in the heats. Leonard Grün delivered a standout performance in the 100-meter butterfly final, while Adrian Trumpa shone in two events: He secured spots in the finals for both the 50-meter and 100-meter backstroke. Both swimmers were able to improve their times even further in the finals. These final appearances were complemented by additional top-10 finishes from other team members, who secured valuable points for the overall standings.

The KIT swim team was extremely satisfied and is looking forward to future challenges. The swimmers are confident that they will continue to succeed at the collegiate championships in the future.
