Registration for the Fall 2026 Kitesurfing Camp Is Now Open

Following last year’s success, we’re excited to travel to the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands again this fall. In Workum and the surrounding area, we’ll find plenty of beginner-friendly spots as well as a dedicated kitesurfing school. This is the perfect opportunity to wrap up the summer and dive into a new sport!
This year, we’re partnering with the Like2Kite surf school. Thanks to the collaboration between experienced kite instructors and student kite assistants, you’ll have the chance to get started in kitesurfing at an affordable price.
Dates: Sun, Sept. 27 through Sat, Oct. 3, 2026
Cost: 845 EUR
The price includes:
• Supervised use of equipment, including kite gear and a wetsuit
• Certification: A VDWS certification can be obtained at the end (approx. 35 EUR); the target is Level 4
• Accommodation in our own house, “Op de hoek van de stal”
• All meals included (self-catering; communal breakfast and dinner organized by meal teams, barbecues, etc.)
• Transportation & on-site shuttle via Stadtmobile (9-seaters) from Karlsruhe
• No-wind alternatives: e.g., SUP paddling, wing surfing, party/barbecue night, trip to Amsterdam
Beginner’s Course:
• 5 days of training, 4 hours per day
• 1 KIT per 2 students, supervised by 2 instructors and 3 assistants
Advanced Course:
• 5 days of supervised kitesurfing, including equipment
• Supervision: 6 students, 1 instructor + 1 assistant
Additional fee: approx. 30 EUR (depending on the number of participants) To get a first feel for the board, we’ve rented the entire wakeboarding facility in St. Leon-Rot on Saturday, September 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This will help everyone get on the board even faster at the IJsselmeer! This is a great opportunity to get to know each other, and depending on the weather and mood, we might also play beach volleyball and have a barbecue together.
Spots: 12 beginners and 6 advanced riders; participants must be 18 or older and able to swim!
You can register definitively on our registration portal—form.kitecamp.org—from July 1, 2026, at 8:00 AM until August 1, 2026, at midnight, or sign up for our reminder service there right now. If you have any questions, please check out faq.kitecamp.org. If your question isn’t listed there, you can also contact us by email at unikiten@gmail.com.
Participants will be selected by lottery, and re-registration will be sent out no later than August 3, 2026. Selected participants must complete re-registration by August 8, 2026, and pay a deposit of 80 EUR.
A preliminary meeting with more detailed information will take place shortly. We’ll let you know the exact time and location in due course. We’re looking forward to a fun Kitecamp with you.
Best regards from Christian, Martin, Jule, Robert, Karl, and Petra.
