Over the long Pentecost weekend from May 14 to 17, 2026, the Roundnet team headed to the University of Essen/Duisburg for the college championships. Despite changeable weather, the court conditions were excellent, and the organizers ensured a thoroughly successful tournament. We fielded a total of three teams: two in the Open division and one in the Mixed division.

Open:
• 15th place out of 28 – unfortunately eliminated in the knockout round by the eventual tournament champions.
• 19th place out of 28

Mixed:
• 12th out of 30 – our run ended in the knockout round against the eventual runners-up.

Overall, we can look back on a great tournament with exciting matches, long rallies, and plenty of fun. Thanks to the University of Essen/Duisburg for hosting—we’re already looking forward to the next one!
