On Saturday, July 4, 2026, it’s that time again: The adh Open Rugby tournament enters its next round in Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe was a successful host last time, and we’d like to build on that. At least six men’s and four women’s teams from a total of six German cities will be participating.

The college teams have been training hard over the past few months, and we, as organizers, are also in full swing with our preparations to ensure that both teams and spectators enjoy a thoroughly successful rugby weekend. But the tournament is more than just a sporting competition—it brings university sports communities together and creates opportunities for exchange and networking.

We’re offering all teams the opportunity to camp and have breakfast right on the tournament grounds. We’ll also do our best to take care of your physical well-being so you can focus entirely on the rugby. Of course, the supporting program is a must.

We’ll be welcoming the first teams as early as Friday, when they can complete their team runs at their own pace or cool off at the nearby swimming pool. In the evening, we’ll wrap up the day together with a barbecue. After the awards ceremony, we’ll celebrate the adh-Open Rugby in style with players and guests starting around 7:00 p.m.
