Great Results at the 2026 DHM Rowing Championships in Krefeld

  • Datum: 27.07.2026
  • For the “Advanced Rowing” department, this year’s DHM, held July 10–12 in Krefeld on Lake Elfrath, was a major milestone. We competed with the largest number of HSP participants in years and achieved excellent results!

    Results

In the Novice class, two boats competed, finishing first and second in Finals C and D. We are very proud of our ambitious newcomers, who trained intensively during their first year of rowing and represented their university in an exemplary manner. In the Challenge class, the coaching team won two silver medals—one in the men’s four and one in the mixed eight, together with two of our novice rowers and three competitive rowers. This last boat further highlights the strong collaboration with the competitive rowing team, which supported us both in training and during the races. As in previous years, the club and HSP worked together to prepare the boats for transport, drive them to the regatta course, and carry out race preparations there. Accommodations and meals were organized by both sides, and the race days went off without any major challenges. In the future, we would like to better communicate the tasks and responsibilities between the recreational program and the racing team. Overall, the KIT HSP was strongly represented, and we see great potential to further expand this aspect of the recreational program in the coming years.
