DHM title for Karlsruhe basketball players
Our basketball players were at the German University Championships in Göttingen this weekend.
Even though they unfortunately had to do without Nils Maisel and Marcel Davis, the squad from Karlsruhe wanted to qualify for the European Championships. In the first game, they unfortunately had to admit defeat to WG Münster with 50:46. The next opponent was then TU Berlin. In game No. 2, the KIT players managed to beat TU Berlin 63:51 and qualified for the semi-finals against the reigning champion Würzburg. The KIT team won the semifinal with 59:49 against Würzburg and thus met Münster in the final on Sunday. With a 63:55 victory against Münster, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) prevailed and becomes the university champion in basketball 2019. EM we are coming!
