About ActivityKIT
ActivityKIT started in the end of 2017 as part of the German-wide initiative "Bewegt studieren - Studieren bewegt!" of the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) and the Allgemeiner Deutscher Hochschulsportverband (adh). The primary goal is to enable students to get more exercise into their everyday lives. In the first funding phase until May 2019, the project was divided into the sub-projects "Stand up, students!", "Students on stairs" and "Inclusive mobility".
Since June 2020, ActivityKIT is supported again by the TK and the adh - within the project "Bewegt studieren - Studieren bewegt! 2.0“. Many elements of the original three sub-projects have remained, although the project has opened up to further ideas and in the first few months the project was focused in particular on the new challenges posed by moving campus life into the home. The overarching goal in the second funding phase (until May 2023) remains the promotion of exercise and avoidance of long periods of sitting in students' daily lives, while taking inclusion into account.
IfSS employees work on the project as well as students. The idea of participation runs through the entire duration of the project, from the planning of the measures to the implementation, evaluation and adaptation.
